De Pere – West

De Pere – West

De Pere – West

Because the river flows through De Pere, the city has developed two dynamic and thriving communities with distinct downtowns, school districts, businesses, neighborhoods and amenities.

The river that flows through De Pere is also a great metaphor for the evolving community. We are mindful of maintaining our down-to-earth and engaging community spirit as a midsized city and a family favorite. On the West De Pere side of the Fox River, you’ll first note the picturesque St. Norbert College riverfront campus. Its 2,200 students and a mix of young families and professionals make De Pere’s west side a unique mix of up-and-coming young professionals, young families and professionals. West De Pere’s historic downtown is a diverse place to shop or dine out – whether you’re seeking freshly-squeezed juice or freshly-roasted coffee or are in the mood for sushi, gourmet cupcakes or a top-rated Friday fish fry.

You’ll find everything from the long-standing The Abbey Bar just off campus that draws both students and families alike for burger night, a six-acre dog park for Fido and some great comedy theater to tickle your funny bone. We also value arts, culture and creative expression: West De Pere’s historic downtown is home to Nicolet Alley, the region’s first-ever, outdoor fine art exhibit, the Artless Bastard art gallery and several vibrant outdoor murals.

As for where to retreat at the end of the day? Whether you favor a masonry rowhouse, downtown luxury, a ranch in a family-friendly neighborhood or a no-maintenance condo, we’ve got you covered.
