Position Summary

Green Bay Area Public Schools have multiple openings for Special Education Teachers to join our diverse schools. This role is crucial in providing academic and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs, helping to lay a strong foundation for their educational journey. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team of educators and will be involved in ongoing assessment and adjustment of educational programs.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provide tailored academic and behavioral support to students with special education needs.
  2. Develop and implement differentiated curriculum and instructional techniques to meet the varied learning levels of students.
  3. Manage crises effectively and adapt plans as necessary to address evolving classroom dynamics.
  4. Collaborate with in-district and out-of-district service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  5. Monitor, assess, and adjust educational programs and interventions throughout the school year.
  6. Complete Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Oversee and monitor student interventions, ensuring their effectiveness and appropriateness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  2. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Certification in Special Education or willing to obtain.

Annie Jackson Elementary is a neighborhood school located on Green Bay’s West Side just down the road from Lambeau Field. Approximately 410 students grades 3K-5 attend Jackson School. West High School prides itself on its rich history, diversity of students, and variety of career pathways. We are looking for a candidate who specializes in supporting students that have cross categorical special education needs.  Teacher will provide direct instruction primarily in pro-social behavior skills and strategies, as well as push in support and case management for students identified with behavior needs.
