We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating box trucks with a lift gate and roll-off trucks. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a variety of trucks, including box trucks and roll-off trucks.
Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner while ensuring the security of the freight.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving.
Load and unload cargo as needed, using forklifts or other equipment as required.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation laws.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience driving various types of trucks, such as box trucks or roll-off trucks, is preferred.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and loading/unloading techniques.
Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment is a plus.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
